२ साल पहले मैंने खादी-वादी से एक धोती ली थी। आप की सूती धोतियां बहुत आरामदायक हैं। खुशी मिलती है मुझे यह देखकर कि हम भारत के दरिद्र नारायण के लिए काम आए हैं।

चुस्त कपड़े पहनने से मुझे जंघाओं में छाले हो गये थे। हकीम ने सुझाया कि सूती कपड़े पहनो। कुछ वक्त पहले मैंने खादी की धोती ली। अब मेरी जांघों से घाव पूरी तरह खत्म हो चुके हैं। हाथ से बनाए हुए सूती कपड़े वाकई में चर्म रोग को मिटाने के सबसे अमली और किफायती हैं। जब कोई दवा काम में नहीं आई तब सूती धोती काम में आई।

मुझे गर्मियों में शरीर से बहुत पसीना आता है और साथ में बहुत घबराहट होती है। पहले मैं टेरीकॉट की साड़ी पहनती थी। टेरीकॉट और खादीवादी की साड़ी में बहुत अंतर है। खादी की साड़ियां पूरा पसीना झट से सोख लेती हैं। इसमें छिद्र होते हैं जो पसीने को सोखकर बाहर फेंक देते हैं।

I believe in Gandhi therefore I have bought an Indian Khadi saree. After its regular use, I should highlight its characteristics. I find it as the most comfortable fabric on the earth. Nowadays, it is very difficult to spot out clothes that are made up of 100% cotton. The synthetic polyester used to bite my skin. Chemicals that are used to manufacture synthetic polyester are toxic, both for me and the environment. I find cotton as the most eco-friendly and the least energy-intensive fabric. Now I have decided to wear the light cotton saree my whole life.

I have bought a shawl 3 years ago from KhadiVadi. That draped piece of fabric is so eco friendly that is does not have buttons in it. No plastic, more eco friendly, I am in love with KhadiVadi.
